Community Guidelines

Suportree enables direct engagement between creators and fans—helping fans invest in creators’ sustainable, long-term work. To enable professional creativity for everyone, we’re committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming platform for both creators and supporters.

Grounded in respect for human rights, free expression, and privacy, these Community Guidelines set the boundaries for what content and behavior are allowed on Suportree. They apply to everyone—creators and supporters alike.

We are committed to respecting the rights established in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and related treaties, and to upholding the standards in the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and the Global Network Initiative (GNI) Principles.

Hostile Organizations

Our platform is for creators with creativity, not for violent and illegal conduct.

Suportree strictly prohibits terrorism and violent extremism. Any content that praise, support, or represent dangerous organizations or affiliated individuals will be removed. These include, without limitation:

  • Terrorists or Terrorist Organizations. Non-state actors that commit, advocate, or support violence against civilians for political, religious, or ideological purposes.
  • Organized Hate Groups. Current or historical groups organized to promote ideologies, including, but not limited to, anti-LBGTQ, anti-Muslim, antisemitic, fascist, male-supremacist, white-nationalist, or white-supremacist views.
  • Criminal Organizations. Groups or associates engaged in criminal activity or enterprises, including, but not limited to, violent crimes (e.g., torture, homicide), kidnapping, trafficking (e.g., humans, drugs, firearms), and financial crimes (e.g., money laundering, extortion, scams, fraud).
  • Actors Actively Involved in Armed Conflict. Armed militias or other groups engaged in conflict, military training, or acquisition of military equipment; individual perpetrators of mass violence.

References to dangerous organizations or individuals solely for neutral or condemnatory purposes—such as in journalistic, historical, or educational contexts—are permitted. If you happen to find any violation of Suportree’s Dangerous Organizations guidelines, please report it.

Harassment

We encourage creators and supporters alike to express themselves, not in a way that compromises someone else’s safety or privacy. While Suportree allows critical opinions and discussion of controversial issues, safety is our top priority. Suportree will never tolerate any form of harassment and abuse.

Bullying

Content, behavior, or language that bullies an individual is not allowed on Suportree. Bullying includes, but not limited to:

  • threatening violence to intimidate someone
  • mocking someone based on their sexual history or their status as a survivor of sexual assault; sharing degrading photos or videos
  • creating or sharing derogatory photoshopped images.

Suportree allows critical commentary about public figures and officials (e.g., political candidates, government officials, and celebrities) to enable discussion of matters of public interest, including newsworthy or controversial issues. However, content that endangers a public figure’s physical safety or that violates other Suportree policies (e.g., hate speech, sexual exploitation) is not allowed.

Dogpiling

Dogpiling refers to the action of a group of people targeting an individual online with the aim of intimidating or humiliating them. Creators and supporters may not engage in or encourage dogpiling.

Doxxing

Doxxing refers to the action of publishing someone’s personally identifiable information (e.g., home address, phone number, bank account information, medical information) without their consent. Doxxing can lead to stalking, emotional distress, physical harm, loss of employment, or identity theft. Creators and fans are not allowed to dox or encourage doxxing.

Limited exceptions may apply when:

  • An individual publishes their own information
  • Someone’s information is shared with that person’s consent
  • The information is sourced from documents that are lawfully and publicly available (e.g., court filings, press releases, or news articles).

Non-consensual intimate imagery

Suportree will never tolerate works that include non-consensual intimate imagery. This means sexual or pornographic imagery of one or more identifiable people that is created and/or shared without their consent.

However, works that address non-consensual intimate imagery in the context of survival stories, education, or advocacy are allowed.

If you are being targeted in this way and believe your safety or well-being is at risk, we encourage you also to contact local law enforcement.

Suppose you are reporting non-consensual intimate imagery that you own the rights to. In that case, we strongly encourage you to report it to us through our dedicated channel for this issue rather than using a standard copyright takedown notice. Traditional copyright notices may be forwarded to the uploader and may be made public.

Swatting

Swatting refers to an action of making a false report to emergency services or law enforcement (for example, a bomb threat, a fabricated hostage situation, or a false active-shooter report). Swatting is extremely dangerous and strictly prohibited, as is encouraging or promoting it.

However, survivor testimonials or storytelling about swatting are allowed.

Threats and incitements of violence

Suportree prohibits threats and incitement of violence or physical harm, including organizing or disclosing aspirational, conditional, or credible plans for violence; soliciting advice for violent acts; advocating violence; or threatening the safety of public or private individuals. Violations may result in removal from the platform. Non-literal, figurative statements that are clearly hyperbolic are excluded.

Username Profanity

Profanity is generally permitted, including in usernames, provided it is not directed at an individual or group and does not otherwise violate these Guidelines.

If you happen to find any form of violation of Suportree’s Harassment Guidelines, please report it.

Harmful Acts

We will do our best to ensure the well-being and safety of our community.

Suportree prohibits works that promote dangerous or self-destructive topics—such as high-risk acts and challenges, disordered eating, suicide, self-harm, or self-injury—that could jeopardize the physical, mental, or emotional health of people on the platform. We do allow content that raises awareness or shares personal experiences in a safe, contextualized manner. Works about aesthetic or medical body modification unrelated to self-harm (e.g., piercings, tattoos, gender-affirming surgery, plastic surgery, scarification) are also permitted.

Dangerous acts and challenges

Content that promotes, normalizes, glorifies, coordinates, or instructs acts/challenges posing an imminent risk of serious injury or death is not allowed. Creators posting dangerous stunts must include a clear disclaimer discouraging imitation. Works with a community-support or educational purpose, or that place such acts within a broader, contextual narrative, may be allowed.

Disordered eating

Content that promotes, normalizes, coordinates, instructs, or glorifies disordered eating or related behaviors is prohibited. Prohibited examples include, without limitation, extreme low-calorie diets; depictions of self-induced vomiting; imagery focused on ribs, thigh gaps, concave stomachs, or other emaciated/bloated body parts; and force-feeding (feeding an individual against their will).

However, we allow journalistic, historical, or educational treatments; broader-narrative works consistent with these guidelines; body-positivity content; eating competitions; medical procedures; and health, fitness, lifestyle content.

Suicide and self-harm

Suportree does not allow works—written, audio, or image-based, including real, animated, illustrated, AI-generated, or hyperrealistic—that:

  • Express a clear and immediate intent to commit suicide, self-harm, or self-injury
  • Depict graphic attempts or injuries
  • Promote, glorify, or normalize suicide or self-harm

We do allow content that raises awareness about prevention, provides support or resources, or presents fictional/artistic storytelling that does not glorify or promote harmful behavior.

If you happen to find any form of violation of Suportree’s Harmful Acts Guidelines, please report it.

Hate Speech

We will encourage creativity to thrive in an environment where everyone’s differences are respected.

While we welcome diverse viewpoints and debate, hate speech has no place on Suportree. We define hate speech as serious attacks against a person or group based on protected characteristics, including caste, disability, ethnicity, gender identity, immigration status, national origin, race, religion, serious medical condition, sex, or sexual orientation. Attacks may include (but aren’t limited to) dehumanizing language, harmful slurs or stereotypes, and calls for violence, exclusion, or segregation.

If you happen to find any form of violation of Suportree’s Hate Speech Guidelines, please report it.

Works Dealing with Illegal or Regulated Activities

Products, services, and benefits offered or sold on Suportree must comply with our Community Guidelines. Refrain from any form of illegal action. Our policies are designed for a global audience and are not tied to any single jurisdiction. Creators and supporters are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations when using Suportree. Failure to comply with our policies may lead to enforcement actions. Repeated violations may result in additional action on your account. We may reject, approve, or remove any product, service, or benefit at any time at our sole discretion, and we may report accounts or content to law enforcement when necessary.

Crime and criminal activity

Crime and criminal activity are not permitted. Journalistic or historical discussions of crime are allowed. Non-criminal violent acts (e.g., consensual combat sports like MMA, consensual BDSM, lawful self-defense, and legally sanctioned hunting) are permitted.

Individuals convicted of crimes who have completed their sentences may share works, provided they do not encourage or instruct others to commit crimes.

Banking, business, cryptocurrency, and finance

Do not use Suportree to give financial advice, promote/offer/sell investments, equity, or ownership in companies or financial products; recruit for or promote multi-level marketing schemes; or launch cryptocurrencies. Analytical, educational, journalistic, or historical content about finance, banking, crypto, and business is allowed.

Food and health

  • Alcohol, tobacco, marijuana. Journalistic, educational, historical, or analytical content is allowed (e.g., brewing tutorials, growing tobacco/marijuana where lawful, cocktail making, flavor reviews). Community resources for addiction support are allowed.
  • Ingestible and topical products. Cooking recipes, tutorials, and meal planning are allowed. Content about alternative medicines, supplements, health, beauty, or wellness is allowed so long as it does not claim to cure, prevent, treat, or mitigate diseases or injuries.
  • Drugs and prescription products. Allowed: discussions of scientific/medical benefits; educational content on safer use or cessation; education on drug risks; advocacy for legalization without instructions for acquiring drugs. Not allowed: depictions of illicit drug use by real people (except in educational, medical, or journalistic contexts), encouraging use, or advocating irresponsible use.

Do not use Suportree to access, provide, or facilitate gambling for money or anything of value (including digital currencies). Prohibited activities include betting, lotteries, raffles, casinos and casino games, fantasy sports wagers, bingo, poker, and sweepstakes.

Gambling

Creators can celebrate supporters by offering higher-tier rewards for a limited number of fans or surprising fans on special occasions. Giveaways are allowed, but creators must ensure they are open to all fans (on and off Suportree) and comply with all applicable laws and rules. Speculation or commentary about sports outcomes is allowed if no financial reward is involved.

Human trafficking and exploitation

Zero tolerance. Do not engage in, promote, or facilitate trafficking, including sex trafficking or forced labor. Related content or activity may result in removal and reporting to authorities. Journalistic, educational, or historical works about trafficking are permitted.

Humanitarian aid and political fundraising

  • Humanitarian aid. Funding support for civilians impacted by conflict (e.g., humanitarian or medical aid), support for service members (e.g., care packages, medical support), and physical training not connected to military/militia activity (e.g., survival skills, conditioning bootcamps) is allowed.
  • Political funding. You may not use Suportree to directly raise money for political campaigns or affiliated entities (e.g., PACs, parties, candidates). Raising funds for social issues (e.g., equal rights efforts, youth mentorship, gun violence prevention, voting access) is allowed./

Weapons and explosives

Journalistic, educational, fictional, historical, or analytical content about weapons/explosives is allowed. However, instructions to manufacture weapons/explosives or to increase weapon lethality (e.g., modifying weapons to increase rate of fire beyond manufacturer intent) are prohibited.

If you happen to find any form of violation of Suportree’s Illegal or Regulated Activities Guidelines, please report it.

Inauthentic Behavior

Authenticity helps creators and supporters build real community and support original work. Suportree prohibits misrepresentation, fake accounts, and activity that facilitates other policy violations.

Authenticity

Creators may not offer content that promotes inauthentic initiatives, including (but not limited to): tutorials for illegal activity (e.g., theft, hacking, piracy), third-party services that artificially inflate metrics (e.g., views, likes, members), or access to piracy software. Creators removed from Suportree may not evade enforcement (e.g., by starting a new campaign without completing the appeals process). Creators may encourage organic support and share tutorials for organic audience growth.

Deepfakes

Deepfakes refer to manipulated or AI-altered audio, video, or images portraying people, events, or scenes that are not real or did not occur (e.g., face swaps; fabricated audio). Prohibited deepfakes include:

  • Deepfakes that intimidate, bully, harass, incite violence, or harm a person’s reputation
  • Deepfakes that place an individual’s image/likeness into sexualized contexts without their participation
  • Deepfakes of public figures used to deceive (e.g., fake endorsements, promotions, phishing, financial scams, merchandise sales).
Satire, parody, or political/social commentary may be allowed if it’s clearly non-deceptive.

Impersonation

Suportree pages may not deceptively represent another person or brand. Prohibited examples include using someone else’s name/username/bio/photos, claiming to be an “official” account without authorization, or distributing works falsely attributed to that person or entity.

Parody, spoof, or fan pages are permitted if clearly disclosed (e.g., in the page name, username, bio, or tiers). Suportree screens for fraud but cannot guarantee identity or claim validity. Report suspicious pages via our reporting tools.

Intellectual property

Infringing others’ IP rights is prohibited.

Spam

Do not spam or distribute unsolicited advertising.

If you happen to find any form of violation of Inauthentic Behavior guidelines, please report it.

Off-Suportree Activity

Suportree is a place for creators to connect with supporters. For community safety, attempts to direct, coerce, lure, or otherwise lead people from Suportree to third-party websites or experiences are strictly prohibited unless expressly allowed below. If we determine an account is engaging in prohibited off-platform activity, we may take appropriate action—up to and including penalties, suspension, or removal.

Prohibited off-platform activity falls into three categories: Scams, General Platform Abuse, and Commerce. For details on what is prohibited and what is permitted, please visit our Help Center

Sexually Gratifying Works

Sexually gratifying works or nudity that comply with all other guidelines are often allowed on pages categorized as Adult/18+. Public-facing areas of Adult/18+ pages (e.g., profile image, page banner, tier descriptions) must not contain sexually explicit material or nudity—real or animated, in any format (photo, video, written, or audio). Such content must live behind the paywall, accessible only to paying members of the creator’s community.

Artificial intelligence

For AI-generated Adult/18+ works:

  • Hyperrealistic depictions must feature real people who have documented explicit consent (see “Age verification and consent documentation”).
  • Animated or illustrated AI-generated figures/characters (as opposed to hyperrealistic) that comply with Suportree’s Sexually Gratifying Works policies are permitted.

Indicators of hyperrealism include anatomical fidelity (not part-robot/part-animal), natural lighting/movement, detailed textures (e.g., pores, wrinkles, individual eyelashes, lifelike shadows), and complex 3D composition/high resolution.

Not permitted:

  • Accounts primarily offering access to generators/tools/software that produce 18+ nudity or explicit imagery.
  • AI-driven Adult/18+ chatbots/sexbots/“virtual partner” experiences using user-generated content (e.g., image generation/manipulation).
  • Tutorials/guides with techniques or step-by-step instructions for creating hyperrealistic AI-generated Adult/18+ works.

Bestiality

Definition: sexual activities or relationships involving humans and animals.

Not permitted

  • Sexual activity between a human and any real-world animal.
  • Depictions or glorification of animal genitals.

  • Animated depictions involving anthropomorphic characters (e.g., furries).
  • Survivor accounts, educational, or journalistic works presented without glorification.

Sexually explicit deepfakes

Sexually explicit deepfakes are defined as manipulated or digitally altered audio/video/images that portray people, events, or scenes that are not real, often for sexual gratification.

Not permitted

  • Editing/generating images to remove clothing or artificially enhance body parts for sexual gratification (e.g., breasts, buttocks, genitals).
  • Deepfakes placing an individual’s image/likeness into sexualized contexts in which they did not participate.

Incest

Incest is defined as sexual activities or relationships between close relatives.

Not permitted

  • Real or animated works (photo, video, written, audio) featuring sexual activity or roleplay between immediate family or close relatives (e.g., siblings, parents, adopted children, step-siblings, step-parents).

Permitted

  • Sexual activity between family members who are not blood relatives (e.g., in-laws).
  • Survivor accounts or personal narratives.
  • Fictional plot points involving incest as part of a larger narrative.

Pornography and nudity

Not permitted

  • Pornography, defined as visual depictions (e.g., photos, videos) of humans engaging in sexual activities, including intercourse, masturbation, or oral sex (e.g., genitals, sex toys, or instruments inserted into the anus, vagina, or mouth).
  • Mouths, sex toys, or instruments used to stimulate genitals, anus, breast, or nipple (versus non-erogenous areas such as hip/arm/armpit).
  • Simulations of oral sex or other sexual acts using fingers, mouth, tongue, or feet.
  • Nudity depicting genital-to-genital contact among humans.
  • Aroused human genitalia (e.g., erect penis, visibly wet vagina), whether clothed or not.
  • Intentionally drawing attention inside the anus or genitals (e.g., by touching the surrounding area, bending/stretching, zooming/cropping) for non-medical reasons.
  • Fetish content involving bodily fluids (e.g., blood, feces, semen, urine, vomit).

Permitted

  • Human nudity that does not meet the above criteria.
  • Non-visual depictions (e.g., written works; audio such as ASMR) of sexual activity.
  • Intimate activity short of sexual activity (e.g., open-mouthed kissing, grinding, lap dancing).
  • Nudity in medical/educational/healthcare contexts (e.g., childbirth, breastfeeding, gender-affirming care, mastectomy, medical exams)—these may be allowed in All Audiences as well.
  • Animated/illustrated works (e.g., cartoons, comics, graphic novels) that depict nudity in sexual contexts if they comply with all other guidelines.
  • Massaging body parts other than genitals or anus (e.g., back, shoulders, breasts, buttocks).
  • Storylines where a sexual encounter is a plot point within a larger narrative.

Sex tourism

Sex tourism can be defined as traveling primarily to engage in sexual activities.

Not permitted

  • Instructions on how to locate sex workers in a specific location.
  • Forums dedicated to sharing sex-tourism experiences.

Permitted

  • Educational or journalistic treatments presented without glorification.

Sexual violence

We do not tolerate works—real or animated—that glorify non-consensual sexual acts (e.g., rape, sexual assault, coerced consent via drugs/alcohol, hypnosis, blackmail). Survivor accounts are permitted.

Sexualized minor age play

Adult/18+ creators may not produce or distribute works in which adults implicitly or explicitly portray themselves (or other adults) as minors in a sexualized context (e.g., sexualized ABDL content via nudity, crotch shots, close-ups, or using infant/toddler/child objects as sex toys).

If you happen to find any violation of the Sexually Gratifying Works Guidelines, please report it.

Teen Safety

Suportree will never tolerate any Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or any exploitative works depicting sexualized minors—in any medium (e.g., hand-drawn, cartoon, text-based, hyperrealistic, computer-generated). Exploitative behaviors such as grooming or solicitation are also prohibited. Any user who attempts to harm or exploit minors will be removed and reported to the appropriate authorities.

Adults misrepresenting themselves as minors

Creators aged 18+ may not produce or distribute works that implicitly or explicitly portray themselves as minors in a sexualized context.

If you happen to find any violation of Teen Safety guidelines, please report it.

Violent Works

We seek to form a welcoming environment, free from disturbing depictions of suffering used for shock value.

Suportree does not allow violent or graphic works, including the glorification of real-world violence or suffering. This applies to depictions of real people and to hyperrealistic human representations, regardless of how they’re created. Signs of hyperrealism include human-accurate anatomy (not part-robot/part-animal), natural lighting/movement, detailed textures (e.g., pores, wrinkles, individual eyelashes, lifelike shadows), and three-dimensional/high-resolution composition with intricate backgrounds/foregrounds.

Works that clearly deviate from reality (e.g., animation or illustration) may include violent elements only if the violence is not glorified and all other guidelines are followed. If someone is in imminent danger, contact local law enforcement immediately.

Not allowed (examples include):

  • Glorification of violence — Depicting, promoting, or celebrating violent acts or actors (e.g., praise or sadistic commentary about violent content; encouraging others to commit violence; showcasing footage of a violent or deadly attack).
  • Human abuse — Glorifying the infliction or aftermath of physical, emotional, psychological, or sexual harm leading to suffering, pain, or death (e.g., non-medical depictions of body parts/fluids; charred bodies; dismemberment; footage recorded during violent attacks; domestic/intimate-partner violence; mass violence; torture).
  • Animal abuse — Glorifying harm to animals leading to suffering, pain, or death (e.g., neglect, cruelty, staged animal fights, trafficking of animal parts, depictions of slaughter outside traditional or standard practices like food prep, lawful hunting, or organized-religion rites).

Allowed (when not glorified and compliant with all policies):

  • Fictional/dramatized works with a clear context or a statement that the footage is not real.
  • Documentary, true-crime, academic, or historical storytelling.
  • Animated or simulated violence (e.g., games, comics, graphic novels) that is not hyperrealistic.
  • Survivor/victim testimonials or first-person accounts.
  • Medical/educational/scientific depictions (e.g., post-surgery recovery, stitches, minor bruises, vaccinations, childbirth, sexual health).
  • Documentary/journalistic use to raise awareness (e.g., human-rights abuses, armed conflicts, terrorism).
  • Body art imagery (e.g., piercings, tattoos).

If you happen to find any violence of Violent Works guidelines, please report it.
