Suportree is a platform that connects fans with creators they root for. “Suportree,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Suportree, Inc., this platform, and the services offered by Suportree, including the Suportree iOS app, the Suportree Android app, Suportree APIs, Suportree embeds, Suportree.com, and Suportree’s other websites. This Privacy Policy is part of our Terms of Use, and describes how we collect, use, and share information.
Information We Collect
We require specific information from you through text fields, such as your name, email address, and billing details. The information we request from you depends on how you use the service (for example, creating a supporter or creator account, purchasing a subscription or other offering, or engaging with a creator) and typically includes:
- First and last name
- Username
- Email address
- Password
- Phone number
- Country and city of residence
Supporter
A supporter refers to someone who subscribes or makes a purchase on Suportree, often receiving special benefits from creators they support. As a supporter, you provide payment details directly to our payment partner, PayPal. You may review its privacy policy on the PayPal site.
Suportree stores your card’s expiration date and postal code, but not the full card number. Instead, our service provider creates a token that represents your card’s primary account number, and we store that token.
We collect and process information about the creators you subscribe to or otherwise support, the memberships and other offerings you purchase, and the benefits you receive. If you select a membership or offering that includes a physical benefit, you may be asked to provide shipping details, including a phone number. We may also infer your location from your self-disclosed country, your IP address, and/or your payment card.
Creators
A Creator refers to someone who establishes a page, a Creator Tree, to engage with supporters who purchase memberships or other offerings in support of the creator’s works. To register as a creator, you must create a Creator Tree describing your creations and any benefits you offer.
To receive payouts, you are required to maintain an account with our payment partner, PayPal. Please be aware that PayPal may provide your personal data (e.g., name and email address) that you provided to PayPal to Suportree. You may also be required to supply bank account information to facilitate payouts.
For tax, regulatory, and verification purposes, Suportree may request information based on your location and the nature of your creations. This may include:
- Email address
- Phone number
- Username
- Password
- First and last name/surname
- Business name
- Address
- Social Security Number and/or Employer Identification Number
- Country of citizenship
- Tax identification number, company registration number, and/or VAT number

Information Shared with Creators
By subscribing to, purchasing a membership or other offering from, or otherwise engaging with or becoming a supporter of a creator on Suportree, you consent to our sharing personal data with that creator. Such data may include:
- Your full name as listed in your Suportree profile;
- Your email address;
- Other Suportree profile information, including your avatar image;
- Your phone number (if you have provided one);
- Information about your pledge or purchase (including amount and start date), but not your full payment card number; and
- Certain data regarding your use of Suportree (e.g., post views, video views, and view duration analytics).
From time to time, we may solicit your participation in surveys related to particular creators (for example, upon subscription, purchase, or cancellation). If you elect to participate, you agree that your survey responses—including any personal data therein (such as your full name and email address)—may be shared with the relevant creator.
When you send a message via Suportree to another user (including a creator), the contents of that message will be disclosed to the recipient(s) you designate.
Information Shared with Communities on Suportree
By subscribing to, purchasing a membership or other offering from, otherwise engaging with, or becoming a supporter of a creator on Suportree, or by creating a creator page, you become part of that creator’s Suportree community. A community consists of the creator and individuals who have subscribed to, purchased from, or otherwise engaged with the creator, including free subscribers. Participation in a community entails the sharing of personal data with that community, which may include:
- Your full name as displayed in your Suportree profile for that community;
- Your profile avatar for that community;
- Your profile biography for that community;
- Connected social media accounts displayed in your profile for that community;
- Your subscription, membership tier, or other recurring payment associated with the creator for that community;
- The offerings you have purchased on Suportree related to that creator;
- The duration of your support for that creator, including the date of first purchase and the start dates of each subscription and/or membership tier;
- The Suportree communities to which both you and the viewer of your community profile belong;
- The chat rooms on Suportree in which both you and the viewer are or have been present; and
- Your status within that community, including any awards, badges, moderator status, or other roles.
Such personal data may be displayed in your community profile, which may contain more information than your public profile and is visible to other community members. If you disable your community profile in your settings, your public profile (as described below) may be displayed to community members instead.
When you leave a comment or review on a post; rate or like a post or message; react to a post or message; join a chat room; send a chat message; indicate interest in or join an event; or otherwise engage in community features, your activity becomes visible to the applicable sections (e.g., tiers or segments) of the relevant Suportree community.
While you are composing a message in a chat room or other community area, a typing indicator may be displayed to other participants in that space.
Content posted within community spaces—such as comments, messages, likes, and reactions—is visible to the associated community. Individuals who subsequently gain access to that space may be able to view its historical activity, including prior comments, messages, likes, and reactions.
Visibility is coextensive with the underlying content:
- Chat messages in a community chat room or event experience are visible to the sections of that community linked to that chat room or event.
- Comments, likes, and reactions on a post are visible to the sections of that community that are permitted to view that post.
If the visibility of a post or community space changes, the visibility of associated comments, messages, likes, and reactions may change correspondingly. For example, if a post is later made available to a broader section of a community, the related comments, likes, and reactions may also become visible to that broader section.
Information Shared with the Public
The following information may be publicly accessible or otherwise disclosed to members of the public:
- Aggregated and other non-personal data, including aggregated usage data disseminated via blog posts, press releases, or other communications concerning Suportree’s usage and business.
Comments, likes, and other reactions inherit the visibility of the underlying post or message. Accordingly, interactions on public posts/messages are public, while interactions on content with limited visibility are shown only to the audience designated by the author. If a non-public post/message is later made public, the associated comments, likes, and reactions may also become public.

Information Shared with Third Parties
We never sell your information. Except for information shared with creators, communities on Suportree, or the public (as described elsewhere), we disclose data to third parties only under the circumstances below:
- Suportree’s Service Providers: We engage third-party processors to provide services, including, without limitation, cloud hosting, content distribution, security, order fulfillment, email and document management, internal communications/chat, analytics, credit card processing, multi-currency settlement, and fraud detection and prevention. We may share personal data with such providers subject to obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy and appropriate confidentiality and security measures, and on the condition that they process personal data solely on Suportree’s behalf and pursuant to our instructions. (Providers may use other non-personal data for their own benefit.)
- Government and Law Enforcement Agencies.
- Tax reporting: To satisfy obligations to report information to tax authorities, including creators’ earnings on Suportree, tax identification information, and information related to transactional taxes (e.g., Value Added Tax (VAT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), other local service or sales taxes outside of the Republic of Korea.
- Legal Process and Law Enforcement: To protect the security or integrity of Suportree; to protect the rights, property, and safety of Suportree, its employees, supporters, creators, or others; or where we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process (e.g., subpoenas or warrants served on Suportree). Where legally permitted and under appropriate circumstances, Suportree will endeavor to notify you (typically via email) before releasing your data in response to a valid governmental or law-enforcement request or other legal process.
- Corporate Transactions: With third parties in connection with, or during negotiations of, a sale, merger, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or reorganization. The commitments in this Privacy Policy will continue to apply to any data transferred to a successor or affiliate entity.
- Payment Partners (Age Verification): To ensure compliance with payment-partner rules, we may verify creators who share sexually explicit content or content containing nudity that they are over 18. Where required, Suportree may collect age-verification information from creators and, upon request from a payment partner, share such information with that partner to demonstrate compliance.
- Third-Party Services Connected to Your Account: When you connect your Suportree account to third-party websites, applications, or services, you may authorize those parties to access information about your Suportree account and/or to perform actions within your account on your behalf. If you provide such authorization, Suportree will implement your instructions and grant the access or permissions you select.
Your Preferences and Control over Your Data
Upon signing in, you can access Account Details on Suportree.com to manage your settings. You may review and modify your cookie choices for Suportree.com at any time by selecting the cookie settings icon on the lower-left of the desktop site.

Opt-outs apply to marketing emails and SMS/MMS (as applicable). Please allow up to 30 days for us to process your request. Mobile Push Notifications
If you use the Suportree iOS or Android application, you may receive push notifications, which can be disabled within the application settings.

Controlling Your Data
Suportree enables individuals to: (i) access personal data we have collected; (ii) correct or rectify inaccurate personal data; (iii) restrict or object to processing; (iv) delete personal data; and (v) exercise the right to data portability.
You can do this on Suportree in the following ways:

- access your personal data, port it, or delete it by requesting Suportree Help Center
- exercising preferences as described above.
Verification of Requests
Because users typically maintain password-protected accounts, requests to exercise privacy rights require verification—either by logging in or by completing an alternative identity-verification process. If we cannot adequately verify a request, we may deny it to protect against unauthorized access to personal data.
Do Not Track Signals
Your browser may transmit a “Do Not Track” signal. As there is no industry-standard response, Suportree does not monitor or otherwise respond to such signals.
Contacting our Data Protection Officer
If you have privacy concerns or questions, you can contact our Data Protection Officer (DPO) via email at support@suportree.com. You may also post a letter to the DPO with your questions.
Complaints
We are committed to addressing privacy-related inquiries and resolving complaints regarding our collection and use of personal data. If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, please contact our Data Protection Officer at support@suportree.com. You may also have the right to complain to the competent data protection supervisory authority.
Establishing an Authorized Agent
You may designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf. To authorize an agent, you must provide: (a) a valid power of attorney; (b) the requester’s valid government-issued identification; and (c) the authorized agent’s valid government-issued identification. Please submit requests to support@suportree.com. To protect against unauthorized account takeover or unauthorized access to personal data, Suportree may, in its sole discretion, decline access or recovery requests.
Data Retention
Suportree stores personal data for as long as it is necessary to provide our services and to fulfill legal obligations, or until you request deletion. Certain information may be retained after account deletion where retention is required or permitted by applicable law.
Security
The security of your personal data is important to us, and we follow industry standards to protect it. You can learn more below.
What We Do
Our systems do not access your full credit card number. We protect sensitive information (e.g., tax information) with Transport Layer Security (TLS) during transmission. We provide additional safeguards, including two-factor authentication for account access and CAPTCHA verification when automated activity is suspected, when login attempts originate from suspicious IP addresses, or following rapid successive login attempts. All traffic is delivered exclusively via HTTPS, encrypting data in transit between you and us.
What You Should Do
Creators and patrons can help protect their accounts by selecting strong, unique passwords and storing them in a password manager. For questions regarding the security of your personal information, contact support@suportree.com.
If you are a security expert or researcher who has identified a potential security issue with Suportree, we welcome responsible disclosure of this issue. You may enroll in our bug bounty program and submit reports to support@suportree.com. Please provide a detailed description of the issue and the steps required to reproduce it.
What You Should Not Do
You must not engage in conduct that jeopardizes the security of our website or users. Prohibited activities on Suportree include, without limitation:
- Illegal Activities: Do not violate the law or encourage others to do so.
- Personal Information: Do not disclose or misuse others’ personal data. Creators who access patrons’ personal information must not use it for purposes unrelated to Suportree.
- Spam: Do not send unsolicited messages or advertising.
- Malware: Do not host, transmit, or distribute malicious or destructive software.
- Service Degradation: Do not impair or disrupt others’ use of Suportree, including via brute-force attacks or load testing.
- Data Mining: Do not crawl, scrape, or index Suportree without prior written permission. If your use case may benefit users, contact us first.
- Reverse Engineering: Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to access our code without authorization. To contribute to security improvements, contact security@suportree.com about our bug bounty program.
Violation of these rules—or any behavior that otherwise endangers the security of our website or users—may result in termination of your account.
Children
Suportree may not be appropriate for children, and you may not use Suportree if you are under the age of 13. You must also be old enough to consent to the processing of your personal data in your country (in some countries, we may allow your parent or legal guardian to do so on your behalf). You must be at least 18 years old or have your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to have a creator page on Suportree or to purchase an offering or subscription on Suportree. You must be at least 18 years old to subscribe to an Adult/18+ creator or purchase an offering related to such a creator.
Changes
We may sometimes make changes to this Privacy Policy. If we make a change to this Policy that, in Suportree’s sole discretion, is material, then we will let you know before the changes come into effect. Continuing to use Suportree after a change to this policy means you accept the new policy. If you have any questions, please email support@suportree.com.
